R. A. Stapp is a science-fiction writer who has been telling stories since 2006. What began as a lifelong love of imagination and “what if” questions grew into a connected universe of stories centered on memory, identity, and the unseen forces that shape who we become.

His work focuses on characters pushed into impossible situations—people caught inside secret programs, fractured loyalties, and conflicts where the truth is never clean. At the heart of his stories is a recurring question: Who are you when everything you thought defined you can be taken away?

The Echoes of Ascension Universe brings these ideas together across multiple series, including The Consciousness Reborn Saga, The Misdirection Series, and the upcoming Arctic Conflict Trilogy. Each series can be read on its own while contributing to a larger, evolving narrative.

Outside of writing, Stapp enjoys motorcycle riding, jeeping, and camping—time spent on the road or off the grid that often fuels new ideas. He has been a comic book collector since the early 1970s and spends plenty of downtime with his dog, Hashbrown. Whether it’s on a back road, at a campsite, or lost in a stack of old comics, he’s always thinking about the next story, the next character arc, or the next mystery waiting to be uncovered. He uses modern tools, including AI-assisted workflows, as part of his creative process, while keeping the ideas, characters, and worlds deeply personal and entirely his own.
